What is basal metabolic rate?

BMR is the energy which we expend when we rest example if we resting whole and we are not doing anything still our body expend some energy.

Now, you guys are may be thinking that if we are resting, then how our body is producing the energy, it’s because our heartbeats, breathing also expend energy

If you want to shed weight, then you need to consume fewer calories than you burn and if you consume more calories than you burn, you’ll gain weight or if you want to maintain your weight burn the calories which you’re consuming daily in that’s the way you’ll maintain your current weight.

What is a calorie?

Before we go depth into the topic I want to share with you guys few basic knowledge like what a calorie is?

well, Calorie is the unit to measure energy in your food.

Every food has calorie that means we need to figure out how much calorie that particular food which we are consuming contains.

If you eat food which has few calories like green vegetables, these kinds of foods not only makes your calorie intake less but also makes you feel satiated because this food contains fiber and if you eat something like burgers and pizzas that contains a lot of calories so even if you would eat little you still be hungry.

So, Calories are basically the amount of energy in your food.

If you eat food with high calorie, you’ll gain weight and if you eat food with fewer calorie then, of course, you’ll lose weight.

How many calories an average person needs?

An average male needs to consume 2,500 calories daily and an average female needs to consume 2000 calorie per day.
