DIY Liquid dish Soap
As with everything on this natural living journey, it is a process. I went from buying pretty colored, scented dish soap to blue Dawn to Seventh Generation (which still has DEA in it), to finally making my own. I look back at all of the money I spent and don’t know why I didn’t start the DIY Dish Soap sooner.
Of course for those of you who read this blog, you know that I like simple. This calls for only two ingredients and two steps. That’s it folks!
Why make your own dish soap?
Many store bought dish soaps have harmful chemicals in them (surprise, surprise). In order to avoid these harmful chemicals and toxic reactions in the body, you can simply make your own. Some of the chemicals in dish soaps to be weary of are synthetic fragrances, dyes, SLS, DEA, and so on and so forth.
DIY Dish Soap Recipe
What You’ll Need:
- 1 Liter Glass Bottle (like this)
- Dr. Bonner’s Liquid Castile Soap – 32 oz. (I prefer unscented)
- Lemon oil (doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oil)
- Pour the liquid castile soap into the glass bottle
- Add 15-20 drops of lemon oil
- Close the lid
- Mix the ingredients
How does it work?
